UNAIDS Executive Director’s World AIDS Day 2012

Ahead of World AIDS Day, UNAIDS Executive Director attended the unveiling of the United States of America new plan of action that provides a roadmap for how the US Government will work to help achieve an AIDS-free generation. He then travelled to Haiti to commemorate this year’s World AIDS Day.

Participating in the event UNAIDS Executive Director Michel Sidibé welcomed the new plan and called for leveraging the unprecedented alignment of global priorities in the AIDS response.

United States Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton commemorated World AIDS Day 2012 and unveiled the PEPFAR Blueprint: Creating an AIDS-free Generation that provides a roadmap for how the U.S. Government will work to help achieve an AIDS-free generation.
