The Commission on HIV/AIDS and Governance in Africa (CHGA) presented its final report "Securing our future" to the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on 9 June 2008 at UN Headquarters. Representatives of civil society organizations addressed Member States and observers on Tuesday 10th June in an interactive hearing at the High-level Meeting on AIDS entitled Action for Universal Access 2010: Myths and Realities.

A series of panel discussions were held during the High-level meeting on AIDS in New York. These discussions covered a range of topics from gender equality to concentrated epidemics and the multigenerational challenge of AIDS.
