Nigeria accounts for 30% of the global burden of mother-to-child transmission of HIV. It is one of 22 priority countries identified by UNAIDS and its partners in the Global Plan towards the Elimination of New HIV Infections among Children by 2015 and Keeping Their Mothers Alive.
