Develop a package of cost-effective gender transformative interventions

The purpose of this RFP is to select a suitable contractor to conduct a multivariate analysis and develop an evidence-based package of cost effective gender transformative interventions to position gender equality as a critical enabler of an effective HIV response within generalized epidemics.
Within the context of the HIV Investment Framework and building on the outcomes of a recently conducted multi-variate analysis of the relation between gender equality and the health related MDGs (4,5 and 6) attached to this RFP.
While the multi-variate analysis contributes to building the evidence that positions gender equality as a critical enabler for an effective HIV response, the package of efficient interventions will assist countries in prioritizing and implementing those interventions that have demonstrated to be successful in accelerating positive change for gender equality and to yield return on investment.
The objective of this contract is to develop an evidence-based package of cost effective interventions to inform gender-transformative HIV responses within generalized epidemics.
This research is expected to support UNAIDS in its intellectual and strategic leadership function, thus enabling more efficient and effective progress on HIV and gender equality.
