The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to enter into a contractual agreement with a successful bidder and select a suitable contractor to carry out task of developing a fundraising strategy with US Foundations.
UNAIDS is in the process of diversifying and broadening the basis of its supporters, mainly governments. UNAIDS has received sporadically grants from various foundations including family foundations (e.g., Gates, Ford) and corporate foundations. However, many of the potential opportunities in terms of existing contacts and funds potentially available are not properly pursued for the lack of adequate resources and for the lack of a comprehensive strategic approach.
The objective of the consultancy is to provide UNAIDS Resource Mobilization Division and Washington office with a detailed map of US based foundations potentially partnering and financially supporting the work of UNAIDS, including key contacts, funding potential and proposed strategy to engage with identified foundations
