Configuration of software interface to Implement UNAIDS’ Situation Room using miVEDIX

31/03/2015

The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to enter into a contractual agreement with a successful bidder to carry out the configuration of the application interface to implement the Situation Room concept designed by UNAIDS using the miVEDIX application.

The Situation Room is a centralised place for collaboration, discussion and taking managerial decisions.

Monitored data will be projected on a big screen. Participants should be able to take over the screen and share reports, slides, new indicators, actively steering the discussions and providing clear rationale to decisions. This approach encourages participants to be present in same space regularly, engaging to a dialogue, and improving transparency in taking decisions. For a richer user experience, the Situation Room is controlled from a tablet.

The situation room concept includes selecting different views or their combination to the data. These include illustrating data on maps, charts and tables, a combination of them, or any other innovative ways. The data can be viewed at aggregated level (global, regional, and national) or disaggregated to subnational levels (such as country districts, counties or facilities). The data is sourced from a single or multiple datasets, which will be dynamically updated in the situation room.

Deliverables:

  • Headquarters (HQ) / Regional Support Teams (RSTs) Situation Room
  • Country (national) Situation Room
