The RMA team has explored the available systems that meet the needs of 2012 Global Reporting, and analyzed the cost-benefits of each. Drupal, a content management system, was selected as the choice platform for the task. The winning advantages of this platform are its design flexibility, exiting use of the platform at UNAIDS, free cost, and the availability of an extensive open-source community of knowledge.
A system is currently in development using Drupal to collect data for 25 indicators, and produce the data extract from all users, The system will include one report on the number of submissions
This Request for Proposal is to contract additional development work to:
- Enhance the system with data collection forms for additional 30 indicators (~1370 data cells)
- Enhance the data extract to include the additional indicators.
- Enhance existing report detailing all data entered for any one country to include new indicators
The work is estimated to commence on October 20th, with a delivery of the first version of the reporting platform by November 20th. Additional support days are made available to be used until the end of the reporting period, March 31, 2012.
