  • Provisional agenda item 2: Report on the State of HIV/AIDS Financing (en | fr)
The past year has seen significant further increases in international financial commitments to HIV/AIDS work in the developing world. The Secretary General’s call to reach annual HIV/AIDS spending of US$10 billion by 2005 is underpinned by a number of programmatic and financial assumptions. Important among these is the definitional premise, based on overall relative economic capacity, that one- half to two-thirds of necessary HIV/AIDS financing in the developing world will need to derive from external sources.
  • Provisional agenda item 1.4: report of the Executive Director (en | fr)
The report is intended to update the PCB on the status of the epidemic, to summarize key developments in advancing the global and UN system response to the HIV epidemic over the first part of the 2002-2003 biennium and to identify the challenges that lie ahead, as well as the overall direction of the Programme in addressing them.
  • Provisional agenda item 2: UNAIDS Unified Budget and Workplan 2004-2005 (en | fr)
The 2004-2005 UBW for UNAIDS developed in consultation with the cosponsoring organizations is organized from two complementary perspectives: the UNGASS Declaration of Committment and the work of individual Cosponsoring Organizations and the Secretariat.  The thrust of the UBW is on  implementing the decisions of the PCB following the five-year evaluation of UNAIDS.  In line with these decisions, significantly increased effort and resources in the UBW are devoted to scaling up the response to HIV/AIDS at country level.
