More than 30 Heads of State, Government and Vice Presidents attended the UN High Level Meeting on AIDS from June 8th to 10th in New York City. The meeting closed with the adoption of a landmark political declaration, setting bold targets for the global AIDS response.

The public service announcement “Believe it. Do it.”, which was shown at the 2011 UN High Level Meeting on AIDS, helped launch a Global Plan that will make significant strides towards eliminating new HIV infections among children by 2015 and keeping their mothers alive.

One day in the HIV response

On 11 November 2011, UNAIDS teamed up with the global initiative, “One Day on Earth” to film the many faces of the HIV response. More than 50 UNAIDS field offices in all parts of the globe participated in the project.
