Long Term Agreement for the provision of IT services

The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to enter into a Long Term Agreement (LTA) with successful bidders and select suitable contractors to carry out the on-going IT outsourcing needs of the UNAIDS for a duration of two years starting in April 2015 with a potential extension of one additional year.

UNAIDS is seeking functional and technical skills in the following areas of Information Technology:

• Open Source development (Drupal/PHP, Django/Python, Google scripting/Google App engine)
• System and database administration (MySQL and Linux)
• Project Management
• Business Analysis

UNAIDS will issue, based on internal demand, specific contracts with pre-determined terms of reference for contractors under LTA. It is anticipated that UNAIDS will issue contracts with a duration of between 2 weeks and 6 months.

Multiple simultaneous contracts could be issued to the same or different companies.

The expectation is that most of the resources obtained through this agreement will need to start the activity within a maximum of three weeks of the original UNAIDS request. The prompt availability of qualified staff is critical to the success of this agreement.
